Hello everyone!
Im sitting once again in the teachers lounge with much time to spare (4hours) due to spaced out scheduling and me thinking I needed extra time to do lesson planning....So its the second week of me actually taking students and so far...so good I guess. I really enjoy working with the oldest students that have lost their inhibition to speak, yet the freshmen equivalents regard me as if I have a turnip growing out of my head. I suppose its harder for me to understand since Ive never considered myself to be a shy person (yay theatre!). Oh well, i will break them out of their mold! Our internet finally arrived, as well as our land line and tv cable, so now i can make unlimited calls to the US!
The weather here is all over the place; the weekend was really nice, but its cold and gray and rainy today....Speaking of the weekend, I finally found a karaoke bar on Saturday, however if you know me, you know I take karaoke extremely seriously. This place had around 5 pages of songs and it was the most RANDOM selection of English and French music Ive ever seen. They only had one Michael Jackson song, ONE! Hello! KING OF POP! And guess which one it was...Black and White. Dont get me wrong I love that song, but at a karaoke bar? Needless to say the best songs I could find were the Britney Spearsx version of I Love Rock n Roll and Chirstina Aguileras I Turn to You. 2 songs I never do. Anyhow, it was still really fun and I went out with my roomies, the Gilbraltarian, the Illinois girl, a Canadian girl, a guy from NYC and a two guys from France. But get this, you cant go anywhere without Iowa right there with you. I met some study abroad students and one was from Grinnell College in Grinell, Iowa. So there you go, when you live in the middle of nowhere, the radius to get out is equal all around!
Halloween is coming up, Im a little sad to know that they dont really do much for it like we do, so what else to do? Have a party with the other Americans! My roommate and I already know our costumes; Im going to be Sarah Palin and wear a sash that says MAVERICK and she is goin gto be tina Fey and wear a shir that says Im with Stupid...Ah the joys of being a brunnette with plastic rim glasses.
Not much else to update on...oh I started reading A Catcher in the Rye two days ago and Im already halfway through, at this rate and with all this time, Ill finish every Jane Austen and Charles Dickens book ever written! Thats good though, im way overdue on my classics!

Well I suppose thats all for now, au revoir!
xoxo

Well I'm just going to say to the mystery commenter that if you wear bear pajama pants, I know who you are!
