Brisbane - First impressions

Hey there,

just wanted to let you know that I arrived happily and healthy in Brisbane last morning.
The weather is quite nice, it's sunny and about 22 to 30 degrees Celcius even though it's still winter time in Brisbane. (Does sound nice, doesn't it?)
I'll be staying at my sister's for the next three months and already met some of her friends/her room mates. Work's gonna start on Monday and I'm really excited because I don't really know what I'm gonna be doing there. However, the co-workers seem to be really nice and I'm gonna meet some of them on Sunday...

Other than that I haven't really done anything special so far. I'm sitting in an internet cafe in Downtown Brisbane at the moment and I still have to find out how to get back home. Downtown Brisbane seems nice... there is a small river and lots of high buildings. I haven't seen all that much so far but I think I'll get to know Brisbane a little better the next few days.

I did take (make 😉 ) a few pictures of Downtown and our house but I forgot to bring the usb stick for my camera so I'll upload them later!

I hope everyone's doing great and I'd like to hear from you once in a while!

My beautiful German! I'm so happy and excited for you!! I was thinking about Austrailia today. I really hope that I'll be able to go to Griffith. Are you planning on staying in Austrailia for a while? I want to apply for Jan '10 and I'll be done by Christmas that year! I really hope that works out!! And I hope you're still there!
