Here's where I was!!!

here is Tallinn! My host sister and her friends mostly went to the mall when we were there, yet I still saw some sights. It was very old looking, which was freakin awesome!

So today my host sister and her friends all took me out to Tallinn. For those who don't know, it is the capital of the country I now live in. It was about a two hour drive so that was boring yet once we got there, it was so sweet! It reminded me of America in the 1920s because of the old coca cola signs and the dress-wear in the windows. Then, as the day went on, the old buildings didn't fit the American persona. For lunch, we went to this cafe type place and I ordered this brichete and it was so freakin amazing! It had toasted bread and then garlic flavoured tomatoes! DELICIOUSO!!! That reminded me a little bit of Italy, just the cafe scene and the food. Later, we kept seeing Italians in the mall that the girls and I were shopping at. We knew they were foreigners because they waved at us. No one knew who they were, so they were foreigners. We kept walking around these little shops, and then checked out these really big malls -yes, there was more than one, and it just made me think of how much of a tourist I must have looked like. At the end of our trip, we all grabbed some ice cream before hitting the road again. My day in Italy, in Tallinn. I saw these girl boxers in one store that had hearts of the Union Jack and I thought how odd... An American wanting to buy British flag boxers, while living in Estonia... too many cultures I say.

Now you why i love food ^.^ lol "how much of a tourist i mus have looked like" lol, rofl, lmao.. yeah it happens when your in another country but you American, soon everyone will dress like us. they just need time to catch up. I find it quite funny how you can automaticly tell which people are forieign just the simple things they do, in america its not so unusall but in other countries its weird for people you dont know to randomly start talking to you/ waving to you.
