Perth - Out and About

I arrived in Perth after a grueling flight from London to Singapore and then straight to Perth. I got to the hostel at 3:30 local time, despite not sleeping for over 40 hours the jet lag still got the best of me and I drifted off at 06:00 and woke up at 18:00. The hostel, North Lodge Accommodation, was small but cosy and I had a room all to myself for $40 a night.

Perth is a beautiful city, very clean and safe. Kings Park is a good day out, walking round the gardens and tree top walk. I took the long was round as I didn't realise there were only 2 entrances.

The nightlife in Northbridge was packed on Saturday night with live and a lively atmosphere. There were some randoms about though, after purchasing some of the local cusine (a McOz), I sat on a bench with a friend and some guy can up to us with a tightly packed ball of something and placed it between us on the bench and then walked off. It took a couple of seconds for the smell to kick in, but it was a fresh steaming ball of horse turd from the police horses! It was quite funny.
