Day 1

Well I'm sure you will all be glad to hear that we made it safe and sound with only minor problems. The flight was pretty good, most everyone was nice and helpful. There isn't too much to say about the flight, except that if you find yourself on a US Airways flight and there is a menu option for broccoli carrot flan (which Bill is finding the recipe for), then you should definitely go with that choice. It sounds and looks a little odd, but very very good.

Our first day here wasn't terribly eventful. We are tired and spent most the day just forcing ourselves to stay awake. As soon as we got here we started running into other soccer boys from Seattle. The dorms that we are in are just a few blocks of Hyde Park so a pretty nice area. The people here were very nice and understanding particularly when B of A decided to decline all charges in spite of the fact we called and told them we would be in Europe. But not to worry Bill called and had a chat with them and all is well.

We spent the day running around grabbing a phone and some minor groceries and hitting Harrods right away (no point wasting time before shopping). Unfortunately, we didn't find any absolute must haves but don't worry we will find them before we leave.

The soccer boys are well they are the soccer boys. I don't really know what else to say except life is rarely dull with them around; it's a good thing.

OK, enjoy the pics and hopefully we can be more entertaining after a bit of rest.

I miss you guys!
I love those photos, and look at Bill's long hair!!! Wow, you must be taking vitamins, look at that! The photo of Bill asleep in his seat on the airplane is great - he looks like the cat who ate the canary. You boys have fun!!!
