Our poor little cart and groceries
We live right next door to an Aldi's grocery store, which has very limited selection, so Chey and I decided to walk to a nearbby shopping center called HarbourTown that we hadn't been to but the owners of our apartment complex recommended. There is a Woolworth's there, which is more like the grocery stores we're used to. One of the owners offered to drive us there and then gave us directions to walk back, which included a shortcut through a park. After we finished all of our shopping and had lots of bags, we started the trek back home,w hich was supposed to be a 20 minute walk with this shortcut. It gets dark pretty early here so when we came out of the grocery store it was pitch black and we didn't know which way the shortcut was. We started going through this park that seemed like possibly the right way to go, but were really struggling with our grocery bags. So we found a broken and abandoned shopping cart, and decided to use it for our walk. The handlebar that steers the cart was missing, the wheels didn't go straight no matter how hard we tried, and the back

was stuck straight up and wouldnt move. So we're pushing this through a dark grassy and wooded area, and our groceries are falling out the back and the whole cart itself is wobbly. Eventually we abandon the shortcut idea because it turns into swamp and we cant see anything so we head for the main road with our broken cart. The cart has a mind of its own and groceries keep falling out the back, but its working better than us just carrying our bags back. However, we look like bums pushing this shopping cart along the main road. Also, since it pulls so hard to one side because of the messed up wheels, one of us has to push it from behind and keep the groceries from falling out and the other has to pull it from the front/side and keep it on the sidewalk. So about 25 minutes into our walk we're feeling pretty good and only have one more block until we're home and are coming down this little hill crossing a street and totally lose control of it and it flips over, basically doing a somersault. Luckily Cheyenne and I were able to get out of

the way before it happened, but here we are, laughing in the middle of this little intersection with a broken cart that we have to pick up and our groceries are everywhere! It all turned out alright but was one of the funniest things ever. We took pictures!
