Well - the only give away to anybody we meet is the very short hair appearing and how skinny I still am, but other than that who would know I had this disease at all. I feel so un believably fit, sometimes appearing fitter than the rest of the family as I make them go on walks up and down the Umbrian country side. Is it the sunshine, the careful planning of my drug regime or just sheer enthusiasm for life, who knows but it works, and I feel as fit, actually no, fitter and healthier than last summer. Long may this remission last, the oncologist talked about this summer being my window of opportunity, and he was right!, remind me of this summer next time I am feeling low with Chemo.

Hi Guys, We are living so vicariously through your blog. Sheer pleasure and joy at the time you are having together and total envy at Italy...how far away it seems from Africa now. What news!
That's got to be the best news I can ever remember hearing. And someone needs to keep that brother of mine off his backside after all that gelato and beer. I'll print this off for Karen (I don't think she does blogs, and she's too busy at work) - she'll be overjoyed. I printed the lot off on friday for her, then had to confiscate the phone before she booked ferry tickets for us to do the same. If you speak to Antonello again - big hugs from me.

Glad to hear you're feeling so good Onita, it must be all that sunshine and ice-cream. Can you get that on the NHS? You'll be glad to know it is horribly crap and wet here and everyone is moaning about the weather - do we actually live in Africa - or are we still in Europe? It's wonderful to read your journal - although I'm missing your mental moments that Corrina was talking about. Is there a hidden section that no-one has told me about?
