Day 22 - 07.07.2008
Train to Mongolia at 0655 am, the ride will take 24 hours. Most of the time will be spent on the border control. And we was lucky to get the Chinese carriage, we heard that the Mongolian sucks. And it was great, personal flat screen on each bed.
The border control took 8 hours. 3 hours first to wait for the Mongolian train, and then 5 hours hooking on our carriages and then stamps in the passport on each side of the border.
And when we cross the border Michael and I meet up with T.Wet! :-)

Next day we arrive to Ulan Baator, changed some money and took a shower. Drop off laundry at the launder service and head out to GER-Camp. 1 hour drive and we arrives in the beautiful rural area. Lot of animals; Jak’s, gouts, eagles, horses.
We spent the time there relaxing, some went horseback riding. In the evening we found a pool-table under som plastic, dig it out and have a match while dringking vodka and beer. After traditional Mongolian dinner the thunderstorm hit, where powerful. Lots of lightning.
Next day we went back to Ulan Baator, we had unfortunate not time to stay longer at the GER-camp.
Rain, rain, rain. Took som picture and sent some postcards. Had a new great dinner, mongolian barbeque.

Time to get on the train again, this time for 24 hours.
Border control in to China took 5 hours, but in that time we also changed the boggi on the train. They liftet the carriage while we was sitting inside it. Fun.
At 2 am we arrive to Beijing, hot....35 C....lot of smog. Had the Peking Duck for dinner, went to a bar. Then we tried out Partyworld, a gigantic karoke place with private rooms.

This was the end of the transiberian journey, and I will give a thanks to all our travel companiens.
