After weeks of solo travel I finally have my travel companion as my sister arrived this morning. Her flight was delayed two hours for weather, so I had a nice morning sitting in the airport, reading, and anxiously waiting to see not only a familiar face but a deeply loved family member I don't get to see nearly enough of. Now I am sitting in the bar area of the small hostel in Heidelberg after training from Frankfurt and walking around the town, trying to keep Laura awake to ease the jet lag that is sure to set in eventually. Her presence has already payed dividends as Laura found a delicious (and cheap!) indian restaurant where we sampled tandori masala (chicken stewy stuff over rice) and samosa (fried triangle appetizer things) and mango lasi (basically a thick mango smoothy, mmm delicious). It was something I never would have tried had I still been on my own. Tommorow we are off to see the castle, and the university and student prison, and who knows what else. Heidelberg is a great small town with a warming atmosphere that I really like. The small bar at the hostel is nice, and another beer or two and we will be off to enjoy a much earned rest. It is so good to have my sister!

Hey grant, You are really getting around. Sounds like your having a ball. Just wanted to say hi from the Rowans. Were all doing well here,lots of waterskiing,horseback riding for chelsea. Alex started his internship at his church for his youth group for a year and we drive chelsea to whitworth in spokane end of august. Hey hope all is well and keep sending pics Dave and family
