Hello! And welcome to my travels. Or at least the abbreviated account of my travels that I will be attempting to keep over the course of my 7-month journey. Overall, my excursion will last from January 10 to August 1. I’ll be staying in LA for a few days beforehand and in Fiji for a week on the way back, but mostly, I’ll be in New Zealand. With my friend Shaheen as my traveling buddy, I hope to see as much of the country as possible. We’ll both be working (in order to support our traveling) for at least some of our time there, but we’ll try not to let that get in the way of our fun.

I know there is still over a month to go before we set off on our adventures, but between the GREs I have to take, the upcoming holidays, and all the planning, shopping, and packing involved with taking a 7-month trip, I figured it was a good idea to start this thing up now. I would never have gotten around to even setting this up, let alone actually writing a full entry, before it was time to leave if I had waited until all that other stuff got under way. I may seem like I’m being efficient and organized by writing this so far ahead of time, but actually it is just a way for me to procrastinate in regards to all of the other stuff that really needs to be done before I leave.

So that’s all for now. Not a lot of real travel-type information I know, but just think of it as kind of a teaser trailer of the trip to come. Until next time…

FIJI is so nice
I surf Tavarua so I think you will enjoy the natural beauty of Fiji and New Zealand great choice have an excellent trip
