Doug Doug Doug

we noted it was not a boy so the name is now Douglass
Well the laziness continues for another while - we are managing at least one swim a day though and a lot of wandering around so we don't feel too guilty! There was a blackout on the island last night for about an hour - we were attempting to carry on using our mobile phones as lights but then the owners of our cabin came along with some candles - it was weird - all lights and music just stopped and all of the dogs on the island starting howling...like something from Alfred Hitchcock! It lashed rain for hours also but it was fine cos it was about 30 degrees in the morning which you can only stand for so long. We have a dog that likes to live on our porch (we called him Doug) and a Gecko that lives in our bathroom - we've also got an infestation of ants and mosquitoes, a cricket and some grasshoppers. I'd say David Attenborough's job is safe enough mind you.

Last night we sat on the beach watching very drunk people skipping with a rope of fire, jumping through a hoop of fire (Good man Paul) and generally being silly. Great craic.

Hope all is well in Ireland - I take it the live feed for the match went down everywhere yesterday - a lot of Germans shouting at the telly here!

Right so - tune in for more exciting updates on the adventures of sun-block Triona and Firestarter Paul.

Nothing Like At Home...
You have explored different scenery than at home but the silliness is never different!! Hope you both have enjoyed it there "under the weather", pardon the pun! My street was bawling with commotion over the loss of picture of German match and am not surprised that you have it too over there.... Good luck with the rest of your journey and godspeed both of you.

You left at right time
Sounds brill guys. The Killing Fields in Cambodia are going to be a tad less hectic when you get there I would think :) Anyway you got out of Ireland just in time. The ERSI said this week that we are officially in a recession, so all the papers and radio stations are going mad about that. So when you return this time next year expect the IFSC to be in flames, empty streets silent except for the pitter-patter of barefoot children, and all your friend's opinions swung massively to the right as we blame foreigners for everything……so enjoy it while you can :) …send us home some money.
