The sign for our fisrt National Park So after a few hours of driving, we finally arrived at Forillon National Park around 7 PM. Our AWESOME travel book (Lonely Planet Canada) recommended us to camp at Cap-Bon-ami. We headed through all sorts of winding steep hills to arrive at our camp site. 😊 Once we got there, we were suprised how the camp site was layed out (think open concept camping), but after seing the scenery of this place, we were very blown away! It is SUCH A PRETTY PLACE. We could see the cliffs (limestones) from our camp site, which was pretty awesome. 😊
After setting up our tent, we went for a little bike ride. We drove for about 3 minutes down a hill (or braked eheheh) and it brought us to this GORGEOUS place surrounded by water and cliffs. It was spectacular!! We stayed there for at least an hour, enjoying the scenery and the beautiful sunset.
We "drove" our bike or let's say Mel walked that hill (eheheheh) and we got back to our camp site. We tried starting up a fire with wet wood and after about 30 minutes, we FINALLY got it lit. We are good boy and girl scouts!

Our Campsite at Cap-Bon-Ami ehehehehe
We had a great sleep that night, listening to the waves crash agaisnt the limestone cliffs... but it was a little cold.
The next morning, Nigel got up at 3:30 AM (not PM) to go see the sunrise. I couldn't get up because it was soooo cold and I was really tired. Nigel took off and came back around 4:15 AM. He showed me his pictures and I kind of regretted that I didn't get up. Nigel says it took his breath away. It was 10 minutes of intense beautiful colours. He says it was postcard beautiful.
We woke up, unpitched our tent and packed up our car. We drove to this trail that interested us alot in the Forillon National Park, called Cap-Gaspé. We parked our car, ate and went for our bike ride. There was alot of pretty sceneries and lots of HUGE HILLS or mountains. We ended up walking half the trail! 😊 Once we got on the top of the Mountain, this couple came up to us to warn us that there was a BLACK BEAR underneath the picnic table!! That was INCREDIBLE! We got to watch it for at least 20
View
This was our View from the campsite... it was about 300m high! minutes. The bear was probably about 30 feet from us. we have never seen a bear so close in our life! Nigel and I thought that it was awesome! 😊
After exploring that gorgeous place, we decided to leave for our next place, which is Gaspésie National Park. 😊
