Salinas

Hi all,

Spent the last week doing medical rotations in Quito and building Houses for poverty stricken people in Canton del Chunchi. Haven´t really ahad a lot of time.

Right after doing the houses we went to an all inclusive resort in Salinas. It is run by a chain called Barcelo. Pictures are a pian to upload becuase I have to resize them then upload them all on computers which are MUCH slower than I´m used to. Sorry I havent been on a computer in a while, it is hard to get to one. Now I will upload some pictures.

I have put together a basic draft of our acticvities on the trip for the first two weeks in one of Danikás Telus notepads so I can hopefully use this for duke of ed

Leaving Galapagos
To get the Galapagos mainland you have to take a boat across a channel then a 40 minute cab ride. The airport is on an island. This is a picture from the bus on the airport side of the channel.

Camp Hope
Part of our volunteering here was a center for mostly kids with cerebral palsy. Lisa was superwoman for the party we threw.

Well, it wasn´t funny for this guy when he fractured his elbow.. he got like 6 screws... we also saw open-heart surgery, a hernia repari and a galbladder removal that day.
