as we go into the station!
Today being my day off, Mum, Alex and I set off for a jaunt round Welshpool. First stop, the Old Station - as its name suggests, it was once the station, but when they built the by-pass, they moved the rails, so the lines don't go near the platform any longer, and the station has become a shop, with cafe. On to Coed y Dinas to buy a money box for Alex's savings - a friend of mine told him she'd saved £500 in one like the one he chose. Does he realise you need to put the money in yourself? We tested out the sandwiches there. Then to the supermarket, the bank, pet shop and the plastic box shop! At last, home and a cup of tea. Dad had a lot of peace today!!!!!

this is the platform - we used to catch a train to Shrewsbury here! Thought this red jacket would be just right for Robyn.

Alex had to SIGN for the wheelchair, but it made things easier.

because we failed to spot the sign that read "wheelchair users ring the bell", and we pushed her straight underneath those dangly bits - then left her there while we got the camera out!

I rather liked the cow, but Tex went for the purple stripes. You have to smash it to get the money out - tradition!

We had a tree chopped today, and now we've got the view back. As well as lots of bits to saw up! That'll keep him busy while I'm at work tomorrow.

What a nice day out!
Looks like you had a good day out together! It was interesting to see a bit of your local area and I liked the photo of Alex chopping up the tree - are you going to have a bonfire??
