Waiting for our rideWaiting for our rideWaiting for our ride

Yup, we're waiting by the highway for our bus ride to Xian!
After a sketchy start, waiting for our bus by the side of the road, we had a good bus ride into Xian! When we got there we had some food at the "only Terracotta Warriors Bar in the world", really just a bar with big statues! The next morning we got up for the day Soph has been waiting for, the day to go to the Terracotta Warriors! After navigating the local buses we made it, the museum itself was beautifully designed and easy to navigate. The Warriors were everything we had hoped for (except we may have been a bit confused at first by Pitt 2 that was only roofs), hard to describe but definitely a wonder of the world! After the Warriors we ventured into the Muslim Quarter of Xian, we walked around and ate amazing food, it was interesting to see a different side of China. After having conquered the Great Wall and Pingyao's wall, the girls decided to check out the Xian city wall. Excited for our adventure we headed up the wall, as we start walking at dusk, we were pumped and ready for the trek! Though after about a kilometre we realized that we had

forgotten water, and everything was closed on the wall. Determined to finish the wall, neither one of us has ever walked so fast! Despite our thirst it was amazing (again) to see the city from above. We were also practically the only ones on the wall, so it was peaceful and quiet (a change from the bustle below), a good time for girl talk which David frown's upon! When we made it to the end, 14km, we guzzled liquids and fell asleep proud and exhausted! Our next stop is the home of the pandas and giant buddha! xoxo Amy
