After a 15 hour flight, I’ve arrived in Hong Kong! The flight was actually pretty cool - we fly right over the North Pole! And over Ulan Bator! And 15 hours of reading/sleeping/eating/watching movies isn’t really that much of a strain!
I’m staying in Kowloon near the Golden Mile. This is right across the harbor from Hong Kong Island itself, and is perhaps a little more Chinese than HK Island itself. I came out of the subway in a thunderstorm, but managed to buy myself an umbrella and fight my way big pack and all down the crowded streets. I then had time to wander around and see a little bit of the light show that is done in a super Disney style each night! Here are some photos, more stories to come!
