Hello!
I made it alive! I had a 13 hour flight from SFO to Hong Kong International Airport and then another 5 hour flight from Hong Kong to Delhi, India. The flight on the way to Hong Kong was awful. Lauren and I had the worst possible flights ever. We sat in the middle of the middle and our seats failed to recline. HOwever, I did get to watch 27 dresses and Ps I love you. We had a 3 hour lay over in Hong Kong and our flight to Delhi was pretty uneventful, except for the fact that we had to get sprayed down with some unknown WHO approved aerosol spray before we were allowed to enter the country. We had no problems getting our bags but the ride from the Airport to New Delhi was terrifying. We paid 125 each for a 30 minute cab ride which translates to roughly 3 bucks. The exchange rate is about 42 rupees to 1 us dollar. The cab ride was terrifying. I think we almost crashed every 3 seconds. I learned that honking your horn means 1 of 2 things. The first is I am right next to you don't swtich lanes, and the second is I am so close to you that if you blink you will hit me and 5 other people on bikes carrying fruit and babies. Once we got sort of close to our hotel the cabby bailed and left us. We had to wander about 45 minutes in unmarked streets until we stumbled upon a sign for the hotel. The hotel is fine. No tp and sort of a toilet. The weather is about 93 degrees out. I've got to run before i get kicked off. More to write later. I'm on my way to Connought Place and India Gate.
