Sing Buri

After a 2 hour journey north from bangkok we ended up in a small town called Sing Buri, which, to say the least, is quite odd!

The night we came we just chilled out for the evening, everyone was pretty shattered and it was nice to have a non alcoholic evening!

In the morning we went to the town centre (which is where im writing from now) and its quite a strange place. The locals just stare at you if they are men, and if they are women (especially groups) they tend to laugh. I've gotten used to it now. In the evening we had a welcome party and local children came and did a dance for us which was really good.

Today we have been having more Thai lessons, which are difficult to understand as the woman teaching us has average english as it is, but its ok. We also had a thai cooking lesson which was fun and tasty at the same time. we went for a walk in and around the village and now we are back in the town just before we go for an evening bbq

note to mother: I havent been feeling too well like constantly dizzy so i have stopped taking the doxycycline (nobody else is anyway) until we go trekking in a couple of weeks time. Hope all is well at home -you can send me a text if you like my phone is working abroad but i cant recieve phone calls

Hi, I was just browsing the blogs about Thailand as I'm of over there in mid July. So how are you liking the land of smiles? Are you guys on holiday, six weeks sounds nice. Alternative medicine...
Hi jon, i spoke to a friend in work about your symptoms after taking the doxycycline. He says he experienced similar side effects and recommends you see Dr Ting-Tong in the red light quarter of Bangkok who will suck the offending chemicals out of your blood stream through your man hood. The good news is that he says during and shortly after the treatment you are totaly unaware of any illnesses - however this is short-term. The bad news is that you cant claim the 10 bhatt back off your travel insurance. Let me know how you get on but in the meantime, enjoy the experiences... Mark

That was a joke dude." hi nick, we are on a kind of holiday, its with a company called real gap, we are doing various activities with about 20 people aged between 18 and 24. Its pretty damn incredible and when you get out here no doubt your going to love it. which part are you planning to go to? jon

Speak soon!" hi buddy, conditioning is going great - i.e doing a lot of walking in sweltering heats certainly gets you pretty knackered and im feeling fitter already. didnt bring the exercise ball literally had no more room when i left - ill be sure to do some floor work soon, i promise ill be in decent shape for nats. How are your sets and vols going, not long now!
