Working hard

Lovely Planet, not Lonely at all!

As I have already mentioned, I am an extremely lucky person.

Lucky to have met so many marvellous people, been to so many places, even to have seen it rain in paradise.

Paradise in the rain remains...

Paradise!

People have made the world my oyster!

My non-clusion (avoiding any conclusions...) is that paradise is any place where you connect with the people and vice-versa

The weather does help!

If any place is paradise when the people are connecting with you, then...

Welcome to paradise!

Thanks for connecting!

In the village of Viseisei

Where all stop to say

Bula! Where do you stay

With Finao and Api, all the way

Fiji for more than a day

Vinaka Vakalevu, Hey!

In the rain outside Raintree (!) lodge near Suva, Fiji nation

Waiting for the bus, without a clue when due

A pick-up truck stops, may they give us a lift to town, before we drown

in the clouds

Fijian family with three boys and a daughter, rugby players

Returning from the farm caked with mud layers

Accept gratefully, they deposit us with much good cheer at the station

Thank you!

In the Christchurch evening drizzle , when the cafe's have shut for the day

Walking in the cold, looking for warmth, a hearth or tea

We enter a Thai take-away

Wanting curry to mix with left-overs in our faithful van, named Joan Camper, aptly

During the wait, I get Joan, park in front of the place

When our curry comes, instead of to go, it is to stay

Of course we explain, say nay

We offer to take out into our open van, returning plate

Absolutely not, we are to bring our food in, have more tea

And with the daughters play!

Kop Kun Kap!

When Surfing, couches, naturally

Everything weird, really

Yet, all so extraordinary

The world full of people out of the imaginary

From South Africa, to Fiji, via Thailand and Auckland

Welcome to all-mans-land!

If your face is
Bula!Bula!Bula!

No worries at the beach
in my book

Then, we will know where to look

I am honoured to thank you for every cranny, every nook

that you have shared with this fan of a great cook

Family

Fabulously Freaky

Funnily Fuzzy

Phenomenally Free

Frankly fun

Familia

Thank you!

Again...

Ben me regalo esta poesía en mi diario cuando dejé Goa en 1996. Recuerdas aquella Navidad, verdad? Ahora yo te regalo su poesía a ti..... "We are the music makers and we are the dreamers of dreams wandering by lone sea breakers and sitting by desolate streams world losers and world Forsakers Upon who the pale moon gleams Yet... we are the movers and shakers of the world Forever..... it seems !! Ben Que sigas teniendo un muy buen viaje, amic !
