more falls 3
lower walk - Argentina Saturday
For our first day in Foz we had decided to visit the Argentinian side of the falls. We had heard that the easiest way to do this was on a tour (as they take care of all the border formailities) and being the lazy travelers that we are, we took this option.
The Argentinian side of the falls, has more walking paths and more look outs and a closer look at the falls (they actually have about 2kms of falls to Brazils 1km). Now theres not really a lot to say here but wow!!! Lots and lots of water falling a long long way. We´ll let the photos do the talking but it was very impresive!!!
After we got back we went up the road from our hotel to an all you can eat Brazilian BBQ. Very nice, we only mention it here though because these little round things came round on one of the skewers and as Nick had been saying yes to pretty much everything offer he said yes to this too... the waiter had a strange smile as he started serving and he anounced "turkey testicles" "um just one thanks" said Nick. Now Nick
Devils Throat - Argentina
The biggest part of the falls viewd from the Argentinian Side didn´t think that it actually tasted too bad so when they came round again he got another two so Tiare could try one. Unfortunately Nick didn´t think of the camera to capture Tiare´s expression as she sampled the turkeys delicates, but needles to say she didn´t like and after his second one Nick was inclined to agree, and stuck to the Beef from there on.
Sunday
Today was our day for visiting the Brasilian side of the falls. We had also booked a boat trip which drives you up the river through the rapids and take you close to the base of the main falls and dunks you under one of the smaller ones. This was heaps of fun and we ended up like drowned rats - soaked through. We then walked up for the Brazilian view of the falls. Whilst not as close as yesterday it give a great panorama of the falls and once again we will let the photos do the talking. Needless to say we were very impressed once again.
Tomorrow we fly to Rio and we enter the last week of our time in South America. Whilst we will be sad to
leave we are looking forward to catching up with Kura and Brett in London.
