Sunday Night/Early Monday:
Here we are on the eve of departure (no we haven't quite left yet...)
After much planning and preparation the big road trip is finally happening - although there may have been times when we thought it may never happen.
As this is being written after midnight please make allowances for any spelling/grammatical mistakes. (Disclaimer inserted owing to the fact that there are many, many teachers and students keeping an eye on this site!
Owing to the much appreciated generousity of some local friends, we were able to have a practise at towing (quite successful) and putting up (fairly successful also - room for improvement in the area of speed.) Thanks Sue & Mark for the wonderful opportunity to improve our technique, and for all your contributions and support. We may have attained a bare pass in "Getting to Know Your Camper Trailer 101".
Tomorrow we begin our "epic journey" and step out of our comfort zone for the next three months. We're aiming to make it to Moree by tomorrow night. Have it on reliable authority that there are some amazing natural hot springs there. Sounds blissful... Let you know the verdict soon.
Have tried to add photos but the computer is not making sense at this time of night/morning. Will try again next time.
