Hej everyone!
Sorry it has been so long since we have been able to write. After the game yesterday, we went over to Freddy’s apartment and I officially signed with Qbik for the season! Really, I signed for both Z and myself, since we will be somewhat sharing a contract in the fall when she is here. It was really exciting! Z snapped a photo of it- it felt like when I signed to college 5 years ago, except I’m much older and larger.
Dennis was a great help as usual as he translated for both Freddy and me (I really must learn Swedish). We then headed south about two hours to Trollhattan with Dennis, Helene, and Eva. We are still in Trollhattan at their house (sadly without Aunt Kathy, who is ironically in the US at this very moment).
When we arrived in the evening, Dennis ordered carryout from a Swedish pizzeria. On my last trip over, Kathy made her own pizza as she did not believe Swedish pizza could compare with that of the US. I understand how she may miss the cheesy goodness of a Pizza Hut or Dominos, however, what we ate last night was absolutely delicious! One pizza was classic Hawaiian and the other was mushroom, ham, and SHRIMP. I don’t know why I didn’t think of that one sooner.
Dennis’s parents, Siw and Bertil (pronounced Seev and Ber-teel), accommodated us with two beds at their house. When you think of the nicest people in the world, these two are whom you envision. I will let Zuzu explain further as she is experiencing Trollhattan for the first time…
