You can't see the fear in my eyes!
It's been a while since my last entry. The Kiwi Experience bus keeps me busy with activities every night; it also keeps my credit cards busy!
My last entry I stated I was heading into Taupo. Well, I didn't do too much in Taupo-just sky-dived 12,000 feet out of an airplane over the largest lake in New Zealand! Yeah, I can't believe I did it either. It's just basically something you have to do when you come over here. It was definately the scariest, but most rewarding thing I have ever done. And the view was indescribable!( I'm not sure if that's a word, but you get the point.) I got a DVD and picture CD in the package, so I'll post some pictures. I'm still on a bit of a high from it. Also in Taupo, I was able to visit Huka Falls and watch part of the Ironman competition that was taking place there that weekend.
After Taupo, we were off to Auckland-the largest city in New Zealand and 4th largest in the world with a population of about 1.3 million people. There's not even that many people in Saskatchewan! There I visited the Sky Tower and took a

ferry across to Waiheke Island where I spent a whole day. I collected some beautiful seashells off one of the beaches, but had to throw them out because they stunk so bad.
Yesterday was another exciting stop in Rotorua where I went white-water rafting. It was quite exciting and fun with the largest drop being a 7 meter waterfall. Three out of the four rafts made it over it quite smoothly. You can guess which one I was in. When we went over the falls, we went under the water and didn't pop up correctly and were caught under the waterfall. It was kind of scary, but we all made it out alive!
Today was a beautiful day where I was able to do a bit of relaxing. A few of us went to one of the Waitomo Caves to do a little tour through the darkness to see the millions of little glow worms, it was beautiful. It was laundry night tonight, so I'm happy that's out of the way! Now I've got some clean clothes, for a little while atleast.
Back to Taupo tomorrow, but I won't be sky-diving again-it's just not in the budget. I hope to

do the Tongariro Crossing (weather permitting), which is a full one day hike. I guess I'll see what kind of shape I'm really in!
Everything is going great and I'm keeping busy. Bye for now.
