Temples

So after my last entry which I think was probabaly a bit long I'm going to make this one a short and snappy update!

After spending 4 nights in Phnom Penh we took a 6 hour boat trip up the river to the town of Seam Reap, home to the world famous Temples of Angkor and the main Angkor Wat Temple (voted by many sources as one of the 7 man made wonders of the world) Its basically a huge anceint city of enourmous stone temples which are now in varoius states of ruin. It was incredible, we spent three days there looking round the various sites including watching the sun rise over the Angkor Wat Temple its self (which is enormous and spectacular) and being driven round by Tuc Tuc to see lots of others. Highlights included the temple where they filmed one of the Tomb Raider films, which is now over run with huge tree roots climbing down over the ruins, and although it was over run with Korean Tourists as well, is very impressive none the less. Still having trouble up loading pics but hopefully will be soon!

Anyway, we stayed in Seam Reap for 6 nights and had a busy but also quite relaxing week. After that we moved back to Phnom Penh for 2 nights before deciding it was time to move on and out of Cambodia. We arrivined in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (aka Saigon) yesterday, and have a months long visa to make our way up the coast to the capital Hanoi and then into Laos! Its all go and am still having a great time.

Speak soon.
