The Original Bus Tour


Being a tourist in London Is cool. We booked ourselves tickets on the city sightseeing bus and got to see the lay of the land without having to use our feet. The highlights were going over London Bridge where we got a mint view of the city. Just off the bridge you can see the Tower of London, which holds the Crown Jewels and the world’s largest cut diamond (one day I’ll go have a closer look). King Charles II believed that if the ravens that live at The Tower of London, fly away, the tower, the fortress and kingdom will fall (so they clipped the raven’s wings). St Pauls Cathedral was very nice and I got reminded of the fact that Princess Dianna and Prince Charles got married there.
It was interesting to hear about the history of London as we drove past the Monument, it is said that if the flame on top of the monument was to fall of it would land in exact place where the great London fire started.
I can’t believe how many churches and statues there are, they seem to be around every corner or placed in the middle of the road. I really loved the patterns and art on all the churches. We past a church which had bomb damage from WWI.
We drove past Shakespeare Globe, which has the world’s largest exhibition devoted to Shakespeare, I will be interested to go and learn more and watch a performance.
After two and half hours of driving around the city we came to the destination we were waiting for, Madame Tussauds. It was cool, we went up on the lift and suddenly we were stars getting snapped by paparazzi. We had photos with all the famous wax people and I was stoked to see Jonah Lomu and Lance Armstrong. Dale enjoyed seeing (mocking) Johnny Wilkinson and other political figures. HAHA.

Hey chick Yes its all good we are having heaps of fun. Dale has got a job Im just waiting for one to come along. I have an interview today and it went really well. Some people are so rich its amazing. Any way you must be getting excited about going to Hawai soon. Keep me posted Miss ya
