We left Ranakpur early with the promise of a massive drive through the mountains towards Udaipur with a stop at the Kumbal Garh Fort which was incredible. Rising up in the middle of a nature reserve and with a 36km perimeter wall surrounding the entire area the scale of the place was breathtaking...Cue long walk to the top...Great views from the top of the fort and some interesting facts from the local guide put this foert very high on our list!! Kalu getting lost was not such a big hassle for us although it did lengthen the journey. Plenty to see though. Rural india is spectacular!! Arriving in Udaipur we checked into a hotel and said our goodbyes to our driver who had looked after us for the last two weeks. With the teary goodbye over we settled in for the night. I think Kalu bonded quite well with us and was sad to see us go!! Next Update soon...!
