Well finally its time for the beach!!! yayaya!!
So up and deciding that im well enough to make the journey! 8 am shuttle to Ko samet first a 3 hour bus ride and then a 40 min ferry in total 400thb and arrived about 2 pm after various transfers!! haha!! guess thats the thai time as with the indian one!!
Beautiful place and totally different atmosphere to that of Bangkok, very laid back, chilled.
Found some huts to stay in, nestled up on the hillside with a balcony, where you could hear yet not see the beach through the trees!! Very cheap though at 200thb each a night!! and waking up in the morning to listen to the sea and walk across the path to the beach was like heaven!! hehe! 😊 feels like heavene!!
Sat down on the beach for a while before dinner and a wander!
Beaches were so clean and water so clear!
Dinner sitting out under the candle light on the low tables on the sand, about 10 metres from the water, couldnt be better!!
Managed to eat today!! yaya!! chicken hot plate! mmmmm, pouring the boiling mix chicken, veg and sauce onto a steaming iron plate so steam shoots everywhere, very dramatic!! hehe!!
Watched the fire dancers show, which was good entertainment, and then the launching of the flowting lanterns into the sky, made for a perfect evening!!

Wednesday 6th February

Up and reading to the sound of the ocean, very relaxing, and then headed to Jeps on the waterfront for breakfast on the beach. It was amazing how far the tide had come in since the day before, like a different place!
Off then to hire our scooters!! hehe!! yes i apologise for commiting a cardinal sin of riding a bike!! but wow it was fun!!! hehe!! maybe repeated in the future (oops!!! - knew i should never have tried it!!)
Did have a few hedge scrapes getting used to the throttle - you see i have this problem that when i get nervous or scared i tighte my grip and hence lurch the bike forward at greated speed!!!! not the desired effect!!
Found some lovely coves though and drove the length of the island before back for lunch all covered in dirt!!
A relaxing afternoon after our mornings adventures!! and to finish my book!
Long walk by the seas edge before dinner on the sand!

A good couple of days on the island 😊
Highly recommended!! hehe!!

Well thats me done for Thailand! hope you've all enjoyed! Im now scheming as to ways to return to such places 😉
hmmmm...decisions decisions!!

love to all
