What an awesome week!! We are finally the awesome foursome. Amy arrived last friday early in the morning and straight away we hit the beach. So there we were happily sunbathing soaking up the rays and suddenly all the girls apart from me (georgia) got up screamed and ran into the restaurant. I couldnt work out what was going on untill i looked up and there was a bull right next to our sun beds. It looked calm so i carried on sunbathing. All the restaurant staff tried to shoo it away and suddenly the bull became angry and started charging!!! of course i ran.
That evening we took Amy out for her first night out and practiced the art of bollywood dancing with the locals! (I am a pro drink made me coordinated)
The next day we got a boat to another beach. Quinn thought she was going to die because the sea was choppy hehe. In the afternoon we went to a Goan restuarant which was incredible and then in the evening we attended perhaps the most surreal moment of my life a GOAN SILENT RAVE, because of the licencing laws recently introduced into Goa the famous beach partys have to turn off there music by ten o clock. So to overcome this the raves still happen apart from everyone wears head phones and the DJ still plays but through a wireless headset. ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS!!! especially when you took off your headphones and everyone was going mental.
The next day we took a road trip to a spice farm to learn about all the different spices. We did consider buying slimming herbs. In the afternoon we experienced an elephant shower this consisted of bathing an elephant in the river followed by climbing on the elephants back while it sprayed you with the water from the river. WE were all drenched but it was an experience put it that way.
The next day we decided to move on from Paloem and head to Baga. or as we prefer to call it BAGALUF (because it is literally the indian version of Magaluf) WE had a hilarious night there. My highlight has to be a hippy (Quinns nightmare) trying it on with Quinn and watching her face she was petrified. Especially as I was being particularly naughty and decided to queens chair the hippy again towards Quinn. haha
Yesterday we had another really surreal experience. We had heard on the grape vine that there was hippys living in the jungle next to the beach resort Aranbul. So we got a taxi to this town to explore. We found the jungle and decided to go and look for them. The walk to the hippy community was just as surreal every so often we would come across the most extreme hippys walking past us. WE even walked past a couple rubbing mud on each other naked in the river. AS we got closer to the community baring in mind this was deep in the jungle we started to hear some strange music and we could smell Insense. We finally found them living in the bark of a tree. they had hung lanterns and material all around them it was so surreal and they were siting in a circle playing music to each other. I cant describe it but it was the most surreal thing that I have ever seen in my entire life. I guess it reminded me of the book the beach.
Anyway today we are heading to an orphanage for a few days to help there and then hopefully heading south.
