LOS ANGELES: Land of the famous (not that we saw any!)

A big hello to everybody in the UK, sorry its taken me soooo long to get my butt into gear and actually write something on this blog!! Arrived in California after 12 very long and uncomfortable hours on the plane, am not looking forward to repeating that ive gotta say, lol! Slept like a baby for the first night though and woke up to unlimited pancakes in the morning, how American??? The weather is lush, perfect blue skies and lots of sunshine-am i making anyone jealous yet?? Visited Universal studios on out first day in Hollywood which was awesome, you got taken around so many sets that they're actually in the middle of using and we got to drive down Wisteria Lane for all you Desperate Housewives fans out there!! Couldnt get over how cheesy the Americans are, all with their pearly white teeth and movie style voices, make sure you ladies have a grrrreeeat day ok?!!! Thats super lol!! (Got very annoying after a while!!) Which reminds me i have NEVER seen so much dental floss in one supermarket before - was mental!!!

Hostel was really nice and everybody there so friendly, like a little mini-hostel family!! Very tight-knit! :-) Met lots of really nice girls (the dorms were single sex) Fadma and Hayley were there pretty much from the beginning and then as we left two more British girls arrived, and Vicky was from Ashford-what a small world eh?!!

Broke my mirror on the very first day so i officially now have 7 years of bad luck starting with my hair straightners blowing up, yep typical and then our toliet backwashed everything-i mean EVERYTHING all over the toilet and bedroom floor! Nothing says bad luck like foating poo i guess, haha! Then our electricity went off, arrrrggh just very annoying!

Sorry this is turning into a bit of an essay but you're just gonna have to grin and bear it im afraid! Spent our second day at Santa Monica and Venice beaches. Very dissapointed at the lack of beefcakes at Muscle beach but i guess it is their winter here! Stopped off at Rodeo drive on the way home for my very own pretty woman experience! (not quite the same when the shops look soooo posh i was too embarrassed to go into any of them!!

Spent our second night doing a limo tour of LA in a hummer, yes a hummer and it fitted like 25 people-it was huge!!And it was all you can drink champagne (nice champagne too) so needless to say everybody got a wee bit drunk!! met a really cool group of Aussie guys, Chris, Jye, Adam and Matt-they're in most of the photos! really reminded me of the guys at home-miss you lots! We got dropped off at Saddle Ranch which is a bit of a celeb hotspot on the Sunset strip- where they have a bucking bronco which the likes of David Beckham and Matt le Blanc have ridden!! It was hilarious, the guys didnt last long at all!

Me and Fi spent our last day doing a Beverley Hills tour looking at all the LUSH houses, they seriously were amazing! Even saw the Playboy mansion well we could see a few bricks over the MASSIVE gates they have lol! Walked back along the walk of fame and saw the celebs handprints outside the Chinese theatre, even happened to stumble across a premiere on Sunset Boulevard!! (our hostel was right off it)

I seriously have never seen more weirdos in one place in my life, they all must flock here and it seems me and Fi attract all of them , the number of people who used to stop us and butt into our conversations were unbelieveable!!! Ok...well im thinking id better end this here or no-one is ever gonna read any more of these, hope you are all ok back home, thinking of you all lots, much love Em xxx

ah ive never written on a blog before! photos are fab, am now very jealous espec as the weather here is getting worse! i so hope i can come for a visit! glad ur both having an amazing time! x x x x p.s 7 years bad luck? never mind that-what about the lack of mirror!! :D xxx
