Cherry on final traverse to top gday folks
What a day yesterday 28th Dec. Cherry and Lin went snorkelling on the Great barrier reef. We set off at 8.10 and steamed for 2/2 hrs to the 1st outer reef that was called Hastings reef. It had wonderful coral formations of every size and colour with loads of marine life also, in all colours and shapes. Cher and Lin were very apprehensive but with Corrine the guide looking after them, they donned their wet suits and did the business, they both loved it. Second reef was called Breaking Patches where they saw large Clams , Hawksbill Turtles and loads of shoals of multi coloured fish. What a day, and to top it off, we sailed back into a tropical thunderstorm when we hit Cairns. Needless to say we did a singing in the rain back to the Hotel, completely soaked to the skin. Here are a few shots to bring you up to date. We move on to Alice springs 2nd Jan. Lots of love to you all
