Hello and Merry Christmas with a Happy new year chucked in for good measure. Lets hope 2008 is great and that you all get to do the things that make you happy in life. A s most of you are aware we have had a full year learning life in NZ and renovating the house ( or as I like to call it , the money sink). I can now announce that we have completed the work and are now enjoying BBqs and drinks in our new backyard. See photos, I have even put in a pool !. The weather here is still very inconsistant with 32C one day , down to 10C the next. We have made it down to the beach a few times and ive had the odd swimm, pretty cold though when compared to the Med or Aussie. Apart from that I have started Dragon Boating, still playing squash and touch once a week. Jo is well and is now on Xmas break from teaching. She finished her University course and received a A- grade. We are now concentrating on enjoying Summer and trying new things. In January we go on the famous Milford track which is about 9hrs south of us. It is a four night (52km)tramp through NZ rain forest and over a mountain range. Jo has never done anything like this and Im hoping she enjoys it. For Xmas dinner tommorrow, its crayfish (Rock Lobster), NZ green lip mussels and salad on the beach( Kiwi Style !!). All the best and hope you like the pics.

Happy New Year from the UK
Hi Steve and jo, Sounbds like you had a great Christmas. We are living in Devon in a really lovely old cottage with a loga fire and beamed ceilings. It is very cold and we went over to Guernsey, Channel Islands near France, for Christmas with my family. We are pouring cash into our house, as well as the long commutes to our work each day. Might move back to Guernsey soon. Keep us posted with your developments - house looks amazing from when you first bought it. Thought of you at new year - remember the buckets of Gin on the Kho San road? Speak soon Helena and Paul xx
