Hoi An - Nha Trang - Mui Ne - Saigon

We left Hue for Hoi An, we were only supposed to stay for a couple of days but stayed longer. Hoi An is the place to get tailor made clothes made. Naturally after so long with no shopping we made the most of it. We bought suits, dresses, shoes and bags all made to measure and in any design we wanted. It took time with the fittings and alterations and for the first few days we didn't even make it past the end of our road. Hoi An was an old town and the people were so friendly. Whilst we were there we did a cooking course with the lady from our local restaurant. We learnt how to make vegetable spring rolls, fried rice with chicken and vegetables and sweet and sour pork. We had great fun and got to eat it afterwards. By the time we left we felt like home, we knew everyone and everyone knew us as we walked down the street. We bought so much we had to box it home before we could move on. We finally left Hoi An for Nha Trang a beach resort in Southern Vietnam. Here we visited Longson Pagoda and a giant seated buddha. It was a really hot day and afterwards we treated ourselves to a mud path and hot mineral springs. It was something we had been looking forward to for ages and we definately needed it!!! We left Nha Trang to go to Mui Ne where we wanted to go sand sledging. We booked the tour for the afternoon where we visited the local sites including the fairy pools and sand dunes. At the fairy pools children arrived out no where. They wanted to be our guides and even though we did'nt need one they stayed with us. We walked through the river up a sand dune for a great view. After that it was over to the big sand dune for some sand sledging. This time we were only given a plastic sheet with some rope attached. We had fun on the dunes for an hour or so before heading to the orange sand dunes to watch the sunset. The next afternoon we left on a bus to Saigon (HCMC). That evening during dinner there was a power cut. Luckily we were the only table to get a candle so we could see what we were eating. After one night in Saigon we left for Cambodia. Vietnam is a crazy cool place we all want to come back. One of our favourite countries so far we'd recommend it to everyone. We all want to come back and experience more.
