...Life! in more ways than one, we've been in Oz for 4 days and it's been packed full of fun! We've seen so many wierd and wonderful creatures. Still getting used to the change in lifestyle and of course prices!! gone from spending 3 or 4GBP on accomadation and a pound or 2 on meals in a restaurant, to over a tenner on accomadation and having to cook our own food! it's also incredibly humid here, over 30 degrees, and not a cloud n the sky today. similar to home i hear!?

The first full day, we went diving on the great barrier reef - wow! the visability was amazing! did 2 dives, saw 3, yes 3 Sharks - strewth! although probably the best thing was when one of the trainee instructors got attcked by a trigger fish - it was pretty aggressive, although that might have something to do with the fact that he swam over it while it was lying on it's nest! We saw loads of beatiful and bright coral and fish, including eels, parrot fish, napoleon wrasse and of course nemo! it was a really great day, the diving, snorkeling and even the food was all top notch!

early next morning we headed off for a 2 day trip to cape tribulation. just! the bus was picking us up at 7, we got a phone call waking us up at 7.15! talk about mad rush! We went to port douglas, mossman gorge, then up to cape trib on the first day. gorgeous scenery, and pretty interesting too. spent the afternoon and night up at cape trib. it was an amazing place, accomadation a short stroll from a beach straight out of a magazine, i walked for about 2 miles and saw about 5-10 people! next day we took a rainforest walk, not very long but interesting none the less, saw a massive spider - the size of my hand! then, further down the road, we saw 4 cassowaries!!! a rare sight, they are really big, endangered birds. Next, we took boat trip down the daintree river. having been told we would be extremely unlikey to see any crocodiles, we saw 4 crocs! although they were not as big as you're thinking, only a few years old and so not very big, the biggest was just nder 2 metres. good to see though!

really tired so will add more next time, oh and pics. catching overnight bus to airlee beach tonight.

hope everyones well, good to hear your comments
