Our group! Minus Brian who was asleep.
Hey guys,

I haven't posted an entry for a couple of days as we have been busy sorting our jobs for the next year. We've been looking at schools to work in, which has been taking some time as there are loads of them wanting teachers to teach English, we just have to be careful which we pick. We've also been looking at houses as we will be moving out of our guest houses soon too. The house front doesn't look good but I think that with some perseverance we can get a decent one!

So our group is now complete. It consists of Julie (UK), Sarah (US), Moira (US), Brian G (US), Joe (US) and Brian M (US). It's been great to be able to get to know them better these past few days. We have been 'bonding'!!! Hehehe. We have a very funny group and I really think that we are all going to have a great time here during this year. Brian M and Joe are attempting to get me hooked on baseball (Go Red Sox!) and Brian G has assigned Julie and I as New York Giants (American Football) fans. As you can see we

are going to be heavily influenced by the Americans but I am so teaching them about football too... FOOTBALL NOT SOCCER!!!! I miss not being able to watch Portuguese football and the Champions League games, although I did hear that Chelsea beat Liverpool 4-1 (take that Paul!!!).

I have bought myself a new camera and a pair of ultra cool aviator ray bans... I kick some ass with them on!!! I will have to take a picture with them on and riding a motorbike (which we have been doing A LOT of since we have arrived). Ho Chi Minh is not a walking friendly city, and the best way to get around is on motorbike taxis. I have been eating lots and eating well! The food here is absolutely delicious and very healthy too. My mother is already concerned that I may be returning home as a pot bellied pig, but I don't think she has much to worry about.

Our Vietnamese teacher is great! She is very strict but we have learnt loads from her (of which I cannot at this precise moment remember anything!! I have just woken up...). We are able to get around now
Lan and MoiraLan and MoiraLan and Moira

Moira and our guesthouse receptionist, who thinks I'm fat and ugly!
and not get into the obvious trap of getting ripped off for everything we buy as we can negotiate in Vietnamese, so it is all good! Joe and I are top of the class and we kick ass at Vietnamese. I think we are the teacher's pets but she seems to give us more to do than other people so maybe we are going about this the wrong way! Joe is my partner is everything over here; motorbike rides, Vietnamese classes and playing pool. We beat Brian and Moira at pool last night by 4-0 so yeah... we're the shit!

We have all made ridiculously stupid goals to achieve whilst we are here... mine is so ridiculous that I can't even remembe rit (I've just consulted Moira and she can't remember either) and due to the fact that it is not that memorable, I need a new one... suggestions please on a postcard. Sarah doesn't like seafood or fish so here goal, and this is a sensible and realistic one, is to by the end of the year have tried some seafood and/or fish. We need to give her a ridiculous one too though.

Ok dudes, will leave

Take it easy and keep in touch!

Your secret mission, if you chose to accept it, is to educate people about Burnley. This message will self destruct in 5 seconds!

Burnley....?
Lisa you must be mad, teach people about Burnley?? They'll run scared into the streets! I think that your impossible mission Marta, should be to grow a foot taller.... you said you wanted a challenge! :o) .... Glad you are well, all sounds wicked. I was up in Liverpool this past weekend, caught up with a few of the guys (not Lisa though - where were you)? Met Oliver, Kelly's baby - was very cute! Anyway, sorry, this is meant to be comments, not MY news! Take care. xxx
