Where the monks say there prayers everyday. There was a lot of chanting and incense coming from here when we were visiting.

At white lake they had tons of little yaks a in a tiny little pin. They were quite cute. Sorry Gonzo, I didn't get to ride one though.

The great lake right after the snow storm. The little black bumps in the distance are piles of volcanic rocks that have been piled up by the locals. They look almost like the tufa formations around Mono Lake (at least from a distance).

So Katya is our "crazy russian" on the trip and she likes to drink pickle juice. Clearly, i'm a little horrified at the thought but apparently it's standard practice in Russia, go figure

Hey Katie! your pictures are great! my sister's frisbee team drinks pickle juice at tournaments. I guess the salt content is better than gatorade! they went to nationals one year so i'd say pick up the habit, then we can recruit your for our frisbee team and you can show us how to down pickle juice and i assume vodka. I hope everything is going wonderful. I am actually writing from belize, family excursion of sorts. not as cool as yours but maybe someday. peace! danielle
