Well I liked the place, Chloe said she thought it was dirty just like the UK.
We were only there for the night so our view of the place was quite brief. We spent the afternoon in Queens park. It was very funny watching the girls running around after the ducklings trying to pick them up. Chloe was thier hero for saving one that got trapped in some drain thingy and couldn't work out how to get back out. There is also an aviary, small animal area with deers, sheep, wallaby's, guinea pigs, rabbits and some other small furry things. The winter gardens was a welcome break from the wind and the plants were amazing. Then there was the Alice in wonderland castle. It took us ages to get the girls off the slide. I had to have a go to find out what all the fuss was about then Chloe spent 10 minutes trying to drag me off it too.
We had been to the museum to see if I could see the Burt Munro bike. The main reason I wanted to go to Invercargill. It's not there but kept in a local hardware store. The place was full of builders and the like who were looking at me like I was mad taking pictures of an bike. Although some of the tools in there were pretty cool to. I sent the pics to some friends and one replied thet he was really impressed that I travelled all the way to the other side of the globe just to go in a tool shop. Hey I'm an engineer, It's like a woman in a shoe shop.
The place we went to eat in the evening was the best pizza I have ever had in my entire life. We went there because it was recomended by the lonely planet, well that's what the advert said. If you are ever in Invercargill try Vinnies on Don Street. The decor was quite cool to. I had trouble with the tightness of my belt when we left.

Burt Munro's Bikes

Inspiration
Bert Munro personifies the true spirit of New Zealand and should regarded as such. He retained the passion of the founding settlers and we should be thankful to him as we are to our found fathers.
