So, off we go (my husband and myself), on our umpteenth short trip. We have 3 children, aged 15, 14 and 6, so our dream of a round-the-world trip is on hold for a few years. But, thanks to our amazing child-carer, we can take short trips of 4-6 days a few times a year.
For me, this is also the beginning of a new life, since I leave my job of 11 years tomorrow, then go home, pack, and drive to the airport :-)
Anyway, with so many changes going on at the same time, I decided it was about time I joined the 21st century, at least with a travel blog.
It's taken about a month of planning to get this far (we are travelling with 2 other couples ...), and our itinerary is:
Wednesday 7th November - fly to Barcelona, a few hours to mooch around, then on to Marrakech via Casablanca, arriving at midnight.
Thursday - day trip to the Atlas mountains: the Tizi-N-Tichka pass, Telouet and Ait Benhaddou
Friday and Saturday - around Marrakech, especially the Souks
Sunday - day trip to Essaouira
Monday - hot air balloon above Marrakech, some last minute shopping :-), and fly home.
That's all for now, I have to get on with closing up shop at work, and last-minute arrangements.
See you all soon,
Debi
