So it is hard to believe that we have been here for six weeks already and will be moving on next weekend. Our plans have changed a bit, as the flights to Zambia were a bit expensive, and we heard a better option from our Australian friends. Next monday we will be taking a short flight from Nairobi to Dar Es Salam in Tanzania. After a night there we plan on catching a train to Kipiri Moshi in Zambia. While this train is scheduled to take 48 hours, i am pretty sure it has never in history left or arrived on time. Still, it travels through some amazing national parks and mountain areas, so it should be interesting. Once we arrive in Kipiri Moshi, we will take a quick (2-4 hours) bus to Lusaka, the capital. After a night there, we will take a longer bus ride down to Livingstone, where we will meet the other volunteers for our next placement. The whole process should take about a week, but should be quite an experience. Subsequently, we will probably be out of touch for the next couple of weeks, but we will update as soon as we can.

While Kenya has been great, i think that we are both looking forward to moving on and seeing new things. The two australians that have been staying with us traveled pretty much the route we are taking for the rest of the trip in reverse, so we are looking forward to seeing all the things they have told us about.

Last weekend we, and the australians, went to the Masi Mara National Park for three days. It was absolutly amazing, seeing all sorts of animals, and camping amongst them. Unfortunatly the cafe that we are at does not have the program that you need to resize pictures for the internet, so we wont be able to post any of them at this time, but we will do so as soon as we can.

Hope all is well.

oh wow
I can't believe you're already moving on to phase II. Excellent- you were getting too good at your lives there- we need a few more surprises. Ross- I take it you have not gotten the Kenyan flag tattooed on to your back yet? Have a safe journey to Zambia and check in when you arrive (that's our old style, Nys!). I miss you guys xx
