Inca Trail Day 5

Another early start to catch the train to Aguas Calientes from where we would get to Machu Picchu. The train journey was a couple of hours, then we had another half hour bus journey to the top of the mountain. When we got there though the first glimpse of the ciradel itself were breathtaking. This was one of the main reasons I'd booked the trip in the first place after watching the Motorcycle Diaries and I wasn't disappointed.

We had a few hours up on the peak to explore, before heading back down to Agua Calientes for a quick coffee then back to Cusco where we arrived just in time for dinner and a quick pint.

(NB realise this entry is a bit short, I was hoping the photos would make up for the lack of words...)
