BOLIVIA:

We´re still in high altititudes, but now in Bolivia.

Here are some updates:

1. In Copacabana we saw the blessing of the cars: catholic priests bless cars, people put flowers and decorations on their cars, then spray sparkling wine on the engine and around the car. Bizarre.

2. We road a bus for thirteen hours over night from La Paz to Sucre and were told that there was a bathroom on board. There was, a broken one. I asked when we were going to stop for the bathroom at 9pm, and I was told ¨en veinte minutos¨. Four hours later, at 1am, we stopped for the bathroom break at this creepy place that served Egg Sandwiches. Nicole, you would have been so thrilled with the egg sandwiches!

3. We´re pretty sure that we may be staying in a hotel that Che Guevera may have stayed at. See attached photo (if it uploads).

4. We are off to Potosi to see some Silver Mines this afternoon.

5. We will be doing the Salt Flats excursion out of Uyuni soon as well. Then maybe Chile and Argentina.

We hiked up top to a hill that had the stations of the cross. Copacabana had lots of religious symbols, celebrations and buildings.

Sucre is the judicial (spelling?) capital of bolivia. While we were in Sucre there were many parades, rallies, bands, signs, etc. I think that Sucre wants to be the official capital. La Paz is currently the official capital of Bolivia. La Paz has a much larger population (over 1 million) compared to Sucre (approx 250,000?). Sucre seemed to be quite prosperous and there were many university students attending the universiti(es) there.

typo
The name of the town is Copacabana, not Cocacabana.

First of all, Copacabana is one of the only songs I'd ever consider doing in Karaoke, and second I LOVE egg sandwiches (but I'm not a huge fan of you describing the place that sells them as 'creepy')!!!
