Beihai Park
In all its glory To escape the hustle and bustle of city life,
we thought we'd head for the local "Beihai Park".
This is close to where we were staying.
We discovered this is a popular place for the locals,
and very few westerners to be seen.
Lots of photo opportunities for the locals - have never posed for so many pictures!!!!
Feeling like film stars, we enjoyed what this park had to offer.
There is a history, going back 1000 years.
With a Round City And Half Moon City within the park.
Also lots of entertainment from the locals as you go around it.
From dancing, singing and the playing of musical instruments.
We had a amazing day discovering what this park had to offer,
and totally forgot that we were in the middle of a busy city.

What a lovely way to spend the day!
Lovely to read your latest update, and with so many gorgeous pics, too! You make a lovely empress, deary! Lurrrved the hat, especially. You are missing an ice-cold north wind: just thought you should know. It's gloves and scarf weather here. Off to make some more raspberry jam - shall I send some with some travel spinach post restante somewhere?? Cheers for now, great to see how much fun you're having! Jane
