I liked this building! I didn't go in though, it's too fancy and I'm scrubbed out.
Another hot day in Hong Kong. Yesterday we spent over an hour walking around every street and side street looking for an Internet cafe, then today we were on the elevator and it stopped on the floor below ours and lo! A huge 24-hour Internet cafe that costs a third the price of what we paid last night (and is much nicer). *sigh*

Checked out Lam Fong Kwai on Hong Kong Island for Happy Hour (which it actually wasn't, as I thought it was Friday and everything was half price. Instead I was shocked to see that my beer was twice the price I thought it was, and that today is actually Sunday). We saw the Symphony of Light at the Harbour, which is the world's largest permanent light and sound show. You can watch it from one side of the bay, and all the buildings light up on the other side to music. It's pretty cool, but unfortunately my pictures didn't turn out very well because the fog/smog is so dense. We spent a lot of time in the room again, as the heat is unbearable. Even when we went out this morning at 8am it was hot and

incredibly muggy. I can see why there are so many malls here. It's exhausting to be outside for too long. At least I can get an Egg McMuffin and orange juice in the 24-hour air-conditioned McDonald's. Nate and I went to Pizza Hut today for lunch thinking that we could just grab a takeout pizza and eat it in our room. When we got there, we found that this Pizza Hut that's down a bunch of stairs off a crazy street looks like a four-star Italian restaurant, and takeout wasn't exactly fast. We got spaghetti though, and it was delicious, so worth the wait I guess. Anything's worth the wait as long as you have air conditioning.

Tomorrow we head to Bangkok. Our flight is at 10pm, but we have to be out of our room by 11am, so we're going to wander around for a little while and then probably head to the airport early.

After happy hour - I couldn't get over how Westernized this area was.

somehow, I'm not surprised...
...How was the spaghetti at McDonald's? And the heat? You'll get used to it soon.
