Hello everybody.

Much happier today. Sorry for the rant...

Anyways, today we went for a walk in the town and saw some pretty things and spent some pretty money.

The town was actually the centre of the Holy Roman Empire for a time when the Romans got sick of the Popes so they fled to France and I think there were 6 or 8 French Popes in that time. They built a palace in the meantime (Le Palais De Papes), which is quite spectacular, and to be honest a bit unexpected in the rest of the town.

We hadn't been shopping since we got overseas, and Susie's money was burning a hole in her pocket, so we spent the afternoon shopping. Susie bought some cool things and I got some cool things, so we both look fantastically cool now.

One little problem that we have is that when we arrived here we booked our forward tickets from Avignon to Venice. Because the rail passes we bought when we were in Australia are Youth Saver ones, they're only second class, which is fine, it just means that for overnight trains you can't get couchettes, you can only get seats for the night. That also is fine, the problem is that all the seats were booked, so we would have had to have booked first class seats to get the sleepers and they were expensive, and we couldn't really afford it. So instead we've booked a different train that leaves earlier and we have to change in Nice and then in Milan before we get there. And because we were expecting to get a sleeper, the accommodation we booked isn't for tomorrow, but the day after, so we have to book an extra night in the place we are staying, and that place only has rooms with 3 beds in them so we have to book the 3 beds now!

HAHAHAHAHA.

What a great story to laugh at later on hey?

OK, that's enough now, we did have a good day today actually, it was nice and warm, there were nice shops to see, and I found out that I can steal a wireless internet connection from some other place tonight, so that's even better.

OK, gotta go, hope everybody is well, talk to you all soon.

Bye bye!

Ray is cool
Hi Ray, So you are cool? I'd like to see some photographic evidence of this natural phenomenon. Not that I don't believe you, it's just I like pictures. And Sue is "cool"? I can't imagine this either. Maybe you meant graceful and elegant, like a swan coming in to land on a mercury lake on one of the moons of Jupiter (Ganymede probably). Anyway, I like pictures.
