NEW TRIP 07
We got here in the evening - the first thing that hits you is the music - it seems to be blasting from every bar and and roof-top restaurant and all of it competing for attention - somehow the effect is brilliant, it's just a really lively, jumping place! I love all of it - the people, food, even the hotel - thanks Nadja! - and it's a great place to spend a few days before hopping over to the mad hassle of India in a few days' time...Even with all the music - and the sound of a melancholy trad / fusion Nepali song is filling up the street - it's the most laid-back place imaginable...spent a few calm hours in the hotel garden this morning (6th) just reading and watching the humming birds dipping in and out of the flowers - unimaginable in Delhi!
