Roadkill Deer Curry with the Brandt’s Great to be back in Canada to relax with Joachim’s family. One night we all got together for a good curry. This time with road kill deer, Klaus (Joachim's dad) gets a phone call from the local cops when there is an accident and he just have to go and pick it up if the drivers don't want it. What a great deal! And deer in a curry actually tastes really good. Just need to let it slowly simmer like all good curries!
Skydiving with SWOOP and going for Wings We have found a superb Dropzone in Dundas only 10min drive from Ian & Heidi's (Joachim’s brother)!
SWOOP is a great little dropzone with super friendly people. They are open on Weekends as well as Wednesday and Friday evenings for experienced jumpers. Many thanks for spending time with us for both suggestions on what to practice in the air and packing too! You were very patient with us! By the time we come back maybe we'll have both our packing endorsement as well as our category B licence. Or maybe not the last one... need some more practice for that one.
Cheese shop at Kensington Market in Toronto
we are officially CSPA skydivers as we have joined the Canadian Sport Skydiver Association. We managed to get in 6 jumps over two days and that is with one jump with a coach, so that is pretty cool 😊 It is great to be out there in the blue skies! From the top you can see downtown Torronto with the CN tower as well as the buildings over at Niagara Falls. Did not get a video done this time, but got some ground photos that we will put online soon. Oh and of course we ended a perfect day the proper Canadian way going for a beer (Moosehead) and Wings! 😊
Wakeboarding is hard! We went down to Grand River to do Wakeboarding and some water skiing. It was a perfect day with flat water and sun from blue skies. It was all going really good and Heidi was showing us how to do it and way does it look like fun - and easy! Nina actually got up on her second try but wiped out quite early and from that one it went down hill. We tried and tried and tried and tried
some more, but no no no. After a while there is just not any more muscles in the arms to even try to get up as there is no grip. Have to give this a try again another time when we are over during summertime. Thank you for being very patient with us Jurgen, you came around again and again and again to let us try to get out of the water. Maybe it is because we are scuba divers and belong UNDER the water not ON the water? Hmmm....
Miniputting in Hamilton Friday evening started with miniputting in the Adventure Village in Hamilton with the Brandt’s. Little Emma even enjoyed it. Well not playing, but throwing balls into the little ponds. Heidi was the grand winner, but Judy (Joachim’s mom) came on a strong second with three holes in one.
Nina looks very young to Canadians Nina has now been asked for ID three times where the age limit was 19 during our stay here! Sooo still looking young! Joachim says it is a flirting tactic though... 😊
A day in Toronto If you are in Toronto it is really worth going to visit Kensington Market.
It is a lively areawith lots of great shops for second hand clothes and good food places. We wandered into one of the cheese shops, it smelled very strongly, but had a great selection. Chinatown is also on the way from downtown so walking trough there for some great bargains is also fun.
Sooo back to work soon On Thursday the 26th of July our holiday is over and we are getting on the plane. We are really looking forward to getting down to the Caribbean to met our new colleagues and start our new life. I will also be cool to learn to use our new underwater camera with all it’s new shiny gadgets! Cheers Gerald for all the time you spent with us choosing the right equipment and everybody else who helped out with screws and stuff!
We will probably talk more about this later as we get use to the different bits and pieces, they say it takes time to learn to use it properly, and looking at all the nobs and settings we really believe this! We have got book An essential guide to digital underwater photography book of Michael Aw and we have Gerald

Naa skal vi jo til et sted som er forholdsvis lett aa reise til fra Norge og med bra dykking! Snar finner vi ogsaa ut av om vi kanskje har plass til gjester ogsaa! :) DIANA: Comment: Greece? Come to Greece, come to Greece! You could definitely settle here and I am sure you would love it :) Diana. Response: We like Greece too, it did not happen this time, but who knows where this adventure will bring us!? FREDDY: Comment: Canada Let me know when you are coming to Canada...I will out some fish in the pool!!! Response: Sorry we did not make it over to your pool, but guess the good thing is that the fish will be bigger when we come for a visit next time! MARIA: Comment: Bara lite avundsjuk... Hej! SHEENA: Comment: Wow! What quick movers! Just can't keep up with u guys! One minute you're climbing the highest mountain in Asia, next you're back in London. Anyway, best of luck with the next leg of your adventure. What part of the world is Saba? Sounds different! U sure are getting around. Looking forward to hearing the next instalment! From a wet and windy Ireland all the best Sheena. Response: Saba is in the Caribbean, keep an eye out for new blog entries and you should learn loads about it.
