Made It

Just a quick note to let everyone know that we made it to New York after a HUGE day! We got up yesterday morning after sleeping through the alarm and then panicking. Had to rush down to reception in all of 20 minutes and get on the next shuttle - lucky we had packed.

The shuttle arrived...and we made it to the airport, but our plane was delayed by 2 hours. JFK had bad weather so we had to sit in the departure lounge and wait for a window. We were supposed to leave at 11:26am but didn't get away until 1:30p! It's a 5 hour haul from Vegas to New York, so we made the most of a crap flight, and got in to the Big Apple around 9:15pm.

It was then onto another shuttle...which took over an hour to get to our hotel. We arrived just before midnight, and made a quick trip out to grab cereal etc. FINALLY, this place has a kitchenette - we are going to take advantage of it! New York was buzzing, and there were tonnes of people around last night, even though it was way past their bed time! We are one block (about 30 seconds) from Broadway and Times Square is just around the corner. Got to bed after 1pm by the time we showered.

Meeting our Apple Greeter in an hour and a half - it is going to be a thunderstormy day apparently. Looking forward to seeing the sights...but BLOODY tired. Will try our best. Over and out for now 😊

Glad to hear you made it safely to next leg. You 'll need a good rest as I'm sure there'll be plenty to see in New York.Look out for that hole in the road that the gas pipe explosion made. God Bless Mum
