Hey!! Well time for holidays!! and off to South Africa! Kind of a reunion! Jacques (who lives in Cape Town or there abouts!) Simon (from Cornwall), Chris (from Haggis land) and myself all worked at French woods CHildrens camp in the USA 2 years ago and have all decided to meet up and do a road trip across South Africa so off we go! only managed to get 2 weeks off so have see how far we can get!
Started with flying out of Cardiff via Amsterdam to Cape Town with KLM! and I have to say if our security checks are anything to go by were all very safe! either that or we all look like terrorists! I got accused of harbouring an offence weapon! was asked several times to tell them where id 'hidden' it! which i hasten to add turned out to be my necklace! guess i could be a ninja!! and Si well, his lucuzade was definately an explosive liquid!! so after much confusion off we went!!! untill security in Amsterdamn! this time h2o was offensive even bought within security!!! I have to say i felt safe on entering the plane untill simon said he hadnt been questions about his razor blades in his hand luggage!!! ah the fun of it all!!!

But arrived in Cape Town all on time and to be met by Jacques, pick up our car and drive on out to Stellenbosch to Jacques Uni flat 😊

Up early today for cooked brekkie and a walk into Stellenbosch, wondered around the town and the liccle flea market which were very very friendly!!! before heading out to a winery! how could we resist just a few samples!! Drove out to Franschhock about 30 mins away for some lunch and a wander around the small town, managed to pick up meat for the Brai (bbq for us british folk) and look at the views, I dont think i could get over the mountains and the the contrast of such organised vine yards.

Off then to find a local winery for a wine tour! decided on Rickety Bridge, where we had a tour of the winery and got to sample 5 glasses for 10 Rand, mmmm...jus had to purchase a bottle!! Back then to Jacques for a braii and wine! great first day 😊

Gona have to keep writing this in stages!! so bear with me!! the internet has bin down so trying to catch up on everything at mo!! hope everyones well?! and hope see ya all before I head back off, only about 5 weeks to go!! quite scary!! then Korea here I come!!! 😊 hehhehe
