Today I took a tour of the city and surrounding out skirts, Bolivia has a colourful history and once was the largest in sth America, after several wars it lost most of its land to Chile, Brazil and Peru, and had an economic collapse when the country was run by the army, so from my earlier comments about it looking like a war zone in parts was pretty much correct, the country is just now getting on its feet, but wont give up the trade of coca leaves which are sold on the street, apparently if you make tea with it, it cures alltitude sickness, this is sold to Venezuala and Cuba and made into cocaine, just a few interesting facts.

Went to moon valley, an area that looks like a whole heap of stalignites sticking out of the ground, looks really cool, can´t say to much so pics attached, we also travelled to the top of the city, to a lookout can´t remember the name of the area and saw the whole of La Paz, and Mount Chacaltaya, also pic attached, the river runs through the city and all the sewerage runs into the river, at this time of year it doesn´t rain to much so you could imagine the smell when the wind blows towards you

The dollar value is great, I have been catching cabs and buses and the most expensive trip was 7 bolivian dollars, which is the equivalent to 70 cents, meals have cost me about $2 and my alpacca jersy was only $2 I couldn't bring myself to barter. the little chubby lady was amazed that no one was cheaper, wasn´t true, I just liked her she was sweet.
