All the hundreds of boots are assembled every day around 1600 and taken down again at midnight as they don't have day permits. What a job!
Moving to a tiny island in the Caribbean
Yes, we are moving to the other side of the planet. We are going to a volcanic island called Saba in the Dutch Caribbean. Saba is nothing like the other Caribbean islands. This is a 13 square km relaxing place with 1400 people, fantastic nature and great diving, check out Saba Tourism for more information. The island and lifestyle sounds just like the place for us. We are really looking forward to getting a small house and making a home again. We are joining Saba Divers which was voted to be the best dive centre in Caribbean by the largest dive magazine in Europe, Tauchen, so we are quite excited. Oh and it is also King Kongs home according to aNational Geographic article. Now we just need to sort out the immigration paperwork as well as flight tickets and there will be some days in London and Canada on the way there. Fantastic!

Climbing the highest mountain in South East Asia
But before leaving we are putting on our new yellow raincoats and heading for Mt. Kinabalu. We are going all the way to the top, which is at 4095meters. We are leaving tomorrow morning at 0700 and spending the night half way up. We will then wake up at 0200 to climb the rest and hopefully see the sunrise from the top. And then we just walk down again - EASY!! Or....???

Life in Kota Kinabalu (KK)
We have now already spent 3 nights in Kota Kinabalu. There is not too much to do here, but we got some good food and even splurged on some wine and good drinks. City life does that too us. We have been staying at a very nice backpackers called the Velvet Lodge and Lounge. The owner is extremely helpful and can give you lots of information about what to do and where and how to save some money doing it. Great! Cheers Chrystal! Oh and in KK we went to see Die Hard 4.0, and have to say that was really entertaining! Proper action movie with a proper hero! 😊

Take care all and we’ll really look forward to seeing some of you guys soon on our way over to the other side.. and over ON the other side!

Karaoke
Great to see that you discover Karaoke!! It is the best of fun in Asia - just hilarious, especially if you imagine me singing... Once I had people putting their hands on their ears as a reaction :) Caribbean sounds great, so you will earn lots of money from overweight American tourists... Take care, Lars
