Catch up!

June 25th 2007 We've been rather busy and the connection here isn't fabulous, so here's to playing catch-up...

We've gone to a "fresh market" -- basically outside where they sell tonnnnnns of fruit, veggies, and fish... I've never ever seen so much fish in my life, I'll put a couple pics to give you an idea... oh, and meat... they just got different little rooms with HUGE pieces of meat just hanging there raw... many times you can see a whole cow hanging there, just meat and bones, kinda crazy... seems quite unsanitary with all the flies around the meat and fish, but I guess they cook them good!

We went to another market that sells a bunch of fruits and veggies and also "kanga" and "kitenge", which are the wraps that everyone wears. Kanga are smaller and are already cut with a border and everything and all have a phrase in Swahili at the bottom.. usually most are about God, but some have negative sayings. Kitenge are bigger pieces of fabric that you can take to the local tailor and have stuff made. I'm having a couple skirts made now, actually!

Aunt Linda loves You!
Hey Sweety - I hope you are having a GREAT time! It certainly looks different there! Sissy told me about your experience at your weekend home. I would DIE! I'm weird with public bathrooms. I cannot imagine! I think you are so brave to travel like you do. I know it is a wonderful experience for you, but I would rather just sit in my recliner! Don't worry about your babies. Sissy really is taking good care of them. Please be careful and watch your back! I'm praying for you Baby! I Love You!
